I am looking to add a few outlets in my basement, but the walls are covered in floor to ceiling blanket insulation. What is the best way to attach conduit and boxes to the wall.

I don’t have the answer but I have the same question. For me it’s the same situation. The basement walls are covered in blanket insulation and there are no studs on the walls as the insulation is attached directly to the cement walls. The insulation is typically a couple of inches thick to using a clamp like the one you displayed above will not work. I guess the conduit could be slid behind the blanket insulation but then there is no way really to attach the clamp to the wall.

I’ve seen one post in which the user said cut an X in the insulation, wrap a box with plastic and electrical tape and attach it to the wall. I really did not like that solution. Does anyone have any other option’s other than building a wall?

It’s kinda hard to visualize what you really have. Can you post a picture here. I’m sure I have the answer for you.

I would normally be able to do that if I could attach right to the concrete but it is not exposed. It is behind the insulation and vapor barrier.

I’m not really following you. I would think you would have some kind of studding. Can you post a picture of what you have?
