I have a client who wants me to help with an issue. They have a dedicated breaker to their washing machine. I have tested the breaker and it is holding the 120v on a 20amp GFCI breaker. It trips intermittently while the washer is running (not all the time). I am going back to check the amperage on the breaker this week. Is there a way to tell if the breaker is just weak? I told them it could be something to do with the machine itself, or even the outlet. They arent sure, and I am trying the least expensive course to help them first. I would appreciate any thoughts on this. The house is only 4 years old, so I was kinda leery that it was a bad breaker myself, but I guess anything is possible.
